The year 2007 has been a successful year for the STAI. This year we organized 4 All India two days seminars on important in different parts of the country apart from the 68th Annual Annual Convention at Goa. The following are th major highlights of the Annual Convention:

69th Annual Convention :
The 69th Annual Convention of the Association will be held at Hotel Rama International, Aurangabad, Maharashtra from 20th – 23rd August 2008.
STAI successfully organized the following seminars on eight important topics in the year 2007. This was the first time that the seminars were of two days duration. The seminars invoked exciting response from the delegates.

All India two days seminar on “Development of Sugar Industry In Bihar” & “Sugarcane Planting Method Including Intercropping & Biological Control of Weed, Pest & Diseases” on 24th & 25th March 2007 at Hotel Maurya, Patna, Bihar with the support of Sugarcane Development Department, Govt. of Bihar
All India two days seminar on “Role of SS Material to Combat Corrosion in Sugar Industry” and “Sugar Manufacturing Processes (Double Sulphitation, Sugar Refinery or any other Processes) – Merits & Demerits“at Hotel Royal Plaza, Gangtok,Sikkim on 18th – 19th May `07
All India two days seminar on “Plant/Process Automation” and “Unknown Losses” at Hotel Cama Rajputana Resort, Mount Abu, Rajasthan from 6th – 7th July `07
The proceedings of all the above seminars are available for sale at the STAI office. STAI has organized a plenary session on the above topics during the 68th Convention in which the recommendations on each topic will be presented by an expert for the benefit of the members.
