The Sugar Technologists’ Association of India is proposing to bring out the following publications during the year 2008.  These publications will be printed shortly.  These have a very wide coverage and reach to the tables of the Key Decision Makers of Factories, Agricultural Scientists, Engineers, Technologists, Research Stations, Government Officials and various other dignitaries connected with Sugar and Allied Industries.

1.     List of Cane Sugar Factories & Distilleries in India & SAARC Countries

The Sugar Technologists’ Association of India, shall be bringing out its publication “List of Cane Sugar Factories (India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka) and Distilleries in India, Bhutan & Nepal 2007-2008” during the year 2008.  This publication will be printed & brought out during August 2008.  This has a very wide coverage and reaches to the tables of the Key Decision Makers of Factories, Agricultural Scientists, Engineers, Technologists, Research Stations, Government Officials and various other dignitaries connected with sugar and allied industries in India & SAARC Countries.

The list contains an up-to-date addresses, fax nos., e-mail, telephone nos. etc of all the sugar factories of SAARC Countries and distilleries in India, Bhutan & Nepal.  Besides this, it contains the make of the plant, crushing capacity, milling plant with size of rollers, clarification process alongwith the names of the technical, supervisory and managerial staff employed etc.  It also includes the list of factories to whom Letter of Intent/Licenses have been issued or are yet to go into production.

2.   Proceedings of the 2008 Annual Convention

The Proceedings will comprise of the latest research papers on scientific and technological aspects relating to Cane Agriculture, Sugar Engineering, Sugar Manufacture and Co-Products of the Sugar and Allied Industries which will be presented and discussed at the Annual Convention of this Association to be held in the month of August 2006 by the eminent authors connected with the industry. 

 

3.     Year Book and Technical Data Directory of Indian Sugar Factories 2006-2007

The publication will contain entire technical data of the manufacture of sugar in all the sugar factories in the country for the season 2006-2007.  It will give a very useful information about the working of the sugar factories including technical results of operation of sugar factories i.e. Time Account, Cane Account, Milling Result, Yield and Grades of sugar and molasses % cane, Clarification Efficiency, Boiling House Data – Filter Cake Data, Analysis of A, B, C, Massecutive and Molasses.  Purity drop from Massecutive to Heavy Molasses, Pol Lost % Cane, Boiling House & Overall Results, Gradewise Sugar Production & Bagasse Data, Stores Consumption.

 

4.   Souvenir

The Convention of the Association is expected to be held in the month of August 2008.  A Souvenir shall be brought out by the Association to be distributed amongst its members free of cost.  The STAI members include Scientists, Agriculturists, Engineers, Government Officers from all over the India.  The valuable Souvenir will also be distributed to the Central and State Government departments connected with Sugar and Allied Industries, Sugar Factories in India and Sugar producing countries of the world.

 

5.   Seminars

The STAI organises very useful seminars every year and this year too we are organising four seminars.  The seminar proceeding will comprise of latest research paper on scientific & technological aspects related to different topics of the Sugar & Allied industries which will be presented and discussed during the seminars to be held in 2008.

 

6.   STAI Current Scene

The STAI brings out quarterly publication of  “ STAI Current Scene ” with news coverage on happening in Sugar Industry in India and Abroad on the basis of reports published in various news agencies & journals, Performance of Sugar Factories & Sugar Manufacturers, Human Resource Development, Sugar Abstracts and  is distributed among its members free of cost. 

Tariffs, mechanical details and other conditions of above publications are given on separate sheet attached with this circular.

1.      All advertisements are subject to acceptance by the Secretary.

2.      All orders and contracts can be cancelled by the Secretary at his discretion at any time on notice being rendered in writing.

3.      No deduction is allowed from our advertisement charges on account of alleged defective insertions.  Claims on such account will be adjusted at the discretion of the Secretary by an extra free insertion, if necessary.

4.      The advertisement charges must be paid in advance.

5.      Block constituting advertisements will have to be either supplied by the advertiser or paid for it specially, if made for them.  Whereas every care will be taken to preserve the blocks / sketches. No responsibility can be accepted for damage or loss of block sketches etc.

6.       No guarantee can be given of a particular advertisement appearing on a specified page.  Every effort shall, be made to meet the wishes of the advertisers.

7.       In case an advertisement ordered for a special place is inadvertently placed at a wrong place, no extra charge for the special position need be paid or if paid shall be refunded.

8.       No particular page or place can be guaranteed to any advertisement unless an extra charge is made for such special position.   Advertisements appearing at the beginning or in the middle of the book alongwith reading matter will be considered as a special page.

9.       A voucher copy (Only one) of the publication in which advertisement has appeared will be supplied to the  advertiser free of charge.

10.     Payments should be made by Bank Draft in the name of The Sugar Technologists’ Association of  India, payable at New Delhi.

11.     In case of any dispute, the Court at Delhi will  have the jurisdiction to try

          the suit.
