The vision of the founders of the Association had been to promote & increase the knowledge of science & practice of sugar technology for persons following or studying for the profession & other kindred branches of science.
In pursuance of the above, the mission of the Association has been to promote & develop viable & cost effective technologies for production of quality sugar at competitive price in order to maintain the dominant position in the domestic and global markets. Council of the Association has been pursuing the above goals vigoursly envisaged by the founders of the Association & today the Indian Sugar Industry has pride place on the world sugar map as the second largest producer of sugar in the world.
